Digital Healthcare Startup:

Founder Director and Concept development for an application to keep patients from all over India and Abroad connected through a smartphone application –myFollowUp, available as an android and ios version. This application is downloaded and used by more than 15,000 patients.

  • Resolution of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in patients undergoing Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy as a standalone procedure and its effect on the gut hormones.
  • Monitoring of anti-Xa levels following extended duration of thromboprophylaxis with enoxaparin in morbidly obese patients undergoing laparoscopic bariatric surgery.
  • Prevalence of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea[OSA] in morbidly obese patients and the effect of sleeve gastrectomy on its severity.

BARIATRIC  SURGERY

Institute of Minimal Access & Metabolic Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is one of the pioneers in starting  the Bariatric Programme in the country. Today the center conducts a high volume of bariatric surgeries and we have follow up of over a decade. I have personally keen interest in Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, which seems to be fast evolving as the ideal procedure for the Asian population.

ONGOING RESEARCH PROJECTS ON OBESITY
